I received yours of the 8th which gave me more satisfaction than any news I have heard since I left home. I was much surprised to hear that everything was at home as it is. I am so glad to hear that Wilborn was doing so well. I am glad he done well with bareback. Tell him that is all right. He shall have some more the same way when I come home. I am in damn good spirits and hope you are. I wrote John a letter some time ago. I have had no answer. I had concluded you all was not a going to write anymore. It is strange you all can’t write more. You surely would if you knew how much good it done me to get a letter. Everything is new to me. So nothing more at present.
