Original Civil War document written in period ink and war dated. Document is signed by Charles Folsom Walcott who served in the 21st & 61st Massachusetts Infantry. He was colonel of the 61st MA and was brevetted to Brigadier General. Walcott was wounded at Antietam while serving with the 21st MA.
