Original Confederate Covil War document, War dated, May 26, 1864.
Form No. 40 - Special Requisition for twenty yards cotton brown muslin for use of Signal Corps dated May 26, 1864 for General Wright. He was Lieutenant Colonel of the 154th Senior Tennessee Infantry. Wounded at Shiloh and disabled for several weeks. Wright was promoted to Brigadier General on December 20, 1862. In 1878, government authorities hired him as an agent to collect Confederate records for the Official Records. For the next four decades he devoted himself to his work.
