Original Civil War commission for John D. Anderson, appointing him a 1st Lieutenant in the 3rd Maryland Infantry. Commission comes with a CDV of Anderson. Anderson also served in the 1st Wisconsin Light Artillery and the 32nd Maine Infantry prior to his service with the 3rd Maryland.
