8 x 10 print by Captain Seth Eastman of an "Atotarho, The First Iroquois Ruler." Print is marked as plate #70 and was originally drawn by Eastman during the 1st half of the 1850s. During the Civil War Eastman served as a recruiting officer in New England, the 1st Commander of Elmira prisoner of war camp and as Military Governor for Cincinnati, OH. He retired as a Breveted Brigadier General.
