John L. Graham
He served as a Private in the 13th New York Infantry from April to August 1861. He enlisted in Company K, 108th New York Infantry as First Sergeant at age 33 on 28 July 1862.
He was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant on 31 December 1862. He was wounded in the head in action at Gettysburg, PA on 3 July 1863 and discharged for disability from wounds on 14 November 1863. Appointed 2nd Lieutenant, Veteran Reserve Corps, on 20 February 1864. He mustered out of the VRC on 1 January 1868. He was honored by brevets in March 1865 to First Lieutenant and Captain for actions at Antietam, Fredericksburg, and Gettysburg.
He was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant, 45th US Infantry on 7 January 1869 and served in the Freedmen's Bureau to February 1871. He was transferred to the 13th US Infantry on 1 January 1871.
