Camp Near Falmouth, Virginia

February 2, 1863

I certify that Private John W. Rowe has been detailed as nurse on the Hospital Rolls of the 5th Regiment New Hampshire Volunteers for nearly one year, and has been paid as such. I further certify that he has acted as Hospital Nurse from November 1st 1862 to January 12th 1863 and is entitled to extra pay for that time, in said regiment.
