Both documents are associated with Private Horace Headley of the 5th New Jersey Infantry. Headley was detailed as a nurse to the hospital. Both documents are signed by Surgeon James C. Fisher, 5th New Jersey Infantry.

February 1st 1863

I hereby certify that Horace H. Headley, Company F, 5th Regiment New Jersey Volunteers was regularly detailed and has done duty as nurse in this Hospital from November 1st 1862 to February 1st 1863 for which he is entitled to 25 cents per day extra pay in all amounting to $23.
