I certify that the above requisition as correct and just, and that the clothing is necessary for the public service. There's a couple names on there. L. A. Evans, Company E, 42nd Regiment.
 
Approved P. B. Adams, Major, 42nd Regiment. Received on the 10th of December, 1861, of Captain H. Saunders, A.Q.M. of the 42nd Virginia Regiment, 31 overcoats, 20 pairs of shoes, five caps, eight flannel shirts, four pair of cotton drawers.
