Signed by Daniel Hayward Hamilton Jr. Hamilton served with the 13th North Carolina Infantry, the 1st South Carolina Infantry and as a staff officer for General Roswell S. Ripley. Hamilton was wounded on September 20, 1862 at Shepherdstown, WV and later captured at Catawba Bridge, SC.
