Sir,
I received a letter from you today which gave me great satisfaction to hear from you and to know you are well. You speak of my coming out there. I would be glad to come at any time if I could. But I fear I can’t come soon. Although there is some talk of all being released that has made application for the oath. But fear that we will not be released this winter. But if I am, I shall come immediately to where you are.
I am some better than I was when I wrote to you last.
Write soon. Direct as before.
Respectfully yours,
E. G. Mock
Excuse my bad writing.
