Original Civil War document war dated:
Document showing volunteer service of James M. Blanchard with the 1st New Hampshire Infantry. Blanchard also served with the 8th New Hampshire and the 92nd United States Colored Troops and was wounded at Port Hudson.
Document is signed by Augustus S. Edgerly who served with the 1st & 9th New Hampshire Infantry. He was wounded at Fredericksburg and killed at Wilderness.
Document is also signed by Seth Eastman of the 5th United States Infantry. Eastman became commandant of Elmira Prison, a brevetted brigadier general and a famous artist of the west and of American indians.
