Original Civil War document from the Massachusetts 1st Corps of Cadets (Also known as the Independent Corps of Cadets). Document announces the funeral of Lieutenant Edwin R. Hill of the 55th Massachusetts Infantry. Hill served in the 2nd Mass Infantry, the 1st Corps of Cadets, 4th Mass Cavalry and the 55th Mass Infantry. He was wounded at Honey Hill, SC and later killed at Deveaux's Neck, SC.
