4th New York Cavalry
Regt # 464
To
Colonel John P. Sprague, Adjutant General, Albany N.Y.
Colonel,
Since my last information of 8th inst. Regt # 418, the following alterations among the commission officers of this regiment having taken place:
1st Lieutenant Robert Reimer of Company A, 4th N.Y. Cavalry, having tendered his resignation and was honorable discharged upon surgeon certification of disability in compliance with para. 4, General orders # 10, Headquarters Army of the Potomac current series, by command of Brigadier General Stoneman, Commanding Cavalry Corps, which I have the honor to inform you to bring in concordance and evidence, the list of officers with the books of your office at Albany and to avoid wrong recommendations, I repeat my application of February 23rd 1863 # 307. You will be kind enough to send to me a correct extract, containing the list of officers with their ranks, by reason of having loss all our regimental papers on the battlefields, and will very much oblige.
Colonel
Your obedient Servant
Baron Anton von Peuchelstein
