Colonel,
I have been notified by the colonel commanding the 3rd Regiment New Hampshire Volunteers that 2nd Lieutenant Henry A. Marsh of that regiment has this day reported for duty, having overstayed his leave of absence. He was granted leave of absence for 20 days by Special Orders No 247, dated Headquarters, Department of the South, Hilton Head, S.C., August 5, 1862, and has overstayed his leave 48 days.
