Lieutenant Colonel Clough and all Officers and men of the 18th New Hampshire Volunteers now on duty in Georgetown, DC, are hereby relieved from such duty and will report at once to their Brigade.

Brigadier General Bartlett, commanding, 1st Division, 9th Army Corps will detail from his command two (2) officers, six (6) non-comm officers and twenty (20) privates all specially selected for fitness, to report at once to Captain Deane, Provost Marshal of Georgetown for military police duty. Captain Deane will confer with General Bartlett respecting any special guards that may hereafter be needed in Georgetown.
