March 20th 1864

Dear Brother,

I have just received yours containing the inventory and property. I will write you again in a very short time. I hesitate now as there is some probability that our Regiment will be consolidated with the 102nd New York Volunteers and which case I shall be mustered out and come home. I was on the committee and the preliminary was all arranged. Such, it may fall through. In case it does, I shall know in the course of a week. In which case, I will answer you promptly. No news of special interest here. All quiet except guerilla raid occasionally.
