Group consist of (17) Civil War dated letters, (1) Soldier's poem written in period ink & dated March 14, 1864 and (5) letters written by Healy's family members.

(13) letters are written by Private Samuel Healy of the 10th Ohio Cavalry.

(4) letters are written by Captain Edwin Brink (Healy's Company Commander) to Healy's wife, informing her of his medical condition and his death.

(12) of the soldier letters come with envelopes.
