Description

2 pages in period ink. Letter written in Cairo, Illinois on March 25, 1864.
Written to Pratt's Uncle. States that his regiment expects to move soon and believes they will go up the Tennessee River by boat. Says that he sent his Uncle a letter with a piece of Hardtack to show what they eat. Also states that he has been promoted to Corporal and now wears two stripes on his sleeves.
