My Dear Eastwood:

Please accept my hearty thanks for the package received in today’s mail, and through me the thanks of the non-commissioned officers of the regiment. I greatly desire that all of the reading of this kind may reach them that is possible.

I will leave no means untried to have all that is sent to me circulated to the best advantage.
