Original Civil War Confederate Special Order #100, Dated November 21, 1863.


Headquarters Cavalry Camp
Near Knoxville, Tennessee

November 21st 1863

Special Order No. 100

I. Major General Will T. Martin and Brigadier General Frank C. Armstrong will each detail a regiment from this division for Special Services.

II. These Regiments will take all the axes of both command. Colonel White of General White’s Staff will accompany these regiments to the point where they are to commence the work.

III. Major General Will T. Martin and Brigadier General F. C. Armstrong will have these regiments ready for the march tomorrow morning.

IV. They will endeavor to have two days cooked rations prepared or as much of it as possible.
