Dear Sir,
We are in receipt of the kind expressions of condolence of Company K with the loss of our son Lt. J. Mora Moss. Of course his loss to the company can be supplied from the many brave and able men in the Regiment, but his loss to us can only be healed by time and the knowledge of his preparation for death by his Christian and moral life to which so many of his company give evidence. My wife and my self will always be happy and honored in welcoming any member of Company K to our house. No 344 South 16th Near Pine – hoping all and any will visit us when they return to Philadelphia and if in want allow us to endeavor to alleviate it.
Yours with regard,
John Moss
